The event has swapped locations due to "unforeseen logistical challenges."

BLAST have announced that Rivals 2025 Season 1 Monterrey will take place in their Copenhagen studios due to "unforeseen logistical challenges."

"While we won't be in Mexico this time, we look forward to returning in the near future," the tournament organizer added.

The event was supposed to be the first tier-one CS competition in Mexico since the 2017 ECS Season 4 Finals, but the nation will need to wait a while longer.

The eight-team tournament will be BLAST's first Rivals event and is set to be held between April 30 and May 4 in a studio enviroment.

The teams ranked first through fourth in Valve's Regional Standings will be directly invited to the event, with the remaining spots filled by wildcard teams from Europe, North America, South America, and Asia.

The tournament will begin with a double-elimination group stage, leading to a six-team playoff bracket set to culminate in a best-of-five grand final.
